Model SAG4600U 60W Resistor-based Sliding Volume Control is designed to deliver pristine sound. High-quality non-inductive resistors are used to taper the power without affecting frequency response, unlike transformer-based volume controls which typically roll-off both ends of the audible frequency spectrum and result in a loss of bass and "air" that effectively changes the timbre of the music. Due the the natural flat impedance with the SAG4600U, "power in" is truly "power out". Each package contains three different color inserts and covers to match most decors. Removable PCB wiring connectors accept up to 14 gauge wire and allow you to pre-wire a system during new construction before the drywall stage, reducing the risk of damage to the unit. The connectors quickly snap into place when construction is complete.

It is recommended that this volume control be mounted in a "backless" junction box. If an enclosed box is to be used, we recommend a deep box (3.5 inches in depth).
